Free From gets MBE
It is really encouraging to see that those working to create FreeFrom products are receiving recognition for their work.
Twin sisters Lisa and Helen, as well as running a restaurant, Sweet Mandarin, have developed a range of Sweet Mandarin branded gluten, nut and MSG-free cooking sauces for the retail market. A few months ago they sent some of their sauces to The Queen who wrote to them saying they were special.
They are also launching this month their first cookbook, The Sweet Mandarin Chinese Cookbook, which is thought to be the first Chinese cookbook with an emphasis on gluten and dairy-free recipes.
They have now been awarded MBE’s for their services to the food and drink sector.
